Why aren’t we taking action? Why not just take action and cut them off?
The answer is simple: Sugar is an addiction. It has been scientifically proven to be eight times more addictive than many illegal drugs in the market.
To make things worse the market is flooded with sugary foods and we can barely escape from it.
What can we do about sugary diets?
I’ve been sugar-free for 12 years now and I can tell you it does not happen overnight.
It took me almost one year to be able to control my sugar cravings.
Here’s how I did it:
First, I had two options to choose from: continue to indulge and deal with the health issues or cut off the sugar and control my health.
To deal it with it I just had to start. JUST StART!
Find a substitute for sugary food; My first substitute for sugary foods was maple syrup but I had to cut my portion and not overdo it.
The second is local honey or ensure you know where your honey is coming from. Buy pure honey and not the fake honey that floods the market.
Next is black molasses. They are very good for you and loaded with iron.I use them in my oatmeal and I use them sometimes in my beans.
Another substitute is date. You can chew them, turn them into syrup and add to whatever you want.
You also have papayas, mangos, bananas and you can add them in your smoothies or bakings. They are great. Just use only sweet foods that are made for us and you’ll be fine.
When you’re craving eat pale. They very soothing and healthy for your system.
It’s just a matter of being aware and taking control of your sugar craving.
