I want to share with you about how to control foggy brain, panic attacks, anxiety, feeling sad or overwhelm caused by bad food or due to stress.
In my previous articles, I talked about how bad food can heighten the symptoms of inflammation.
My experience
I discovered that any time I eat dairy product or dairy food I feel overwhelmed, sad. I also come down with migraine, foggy brain and I feel depressed. So I came up with my protocol to tackle the problem.
Here’s how I did it:
#1. Find someone to hold you accountable
In my case I ask all my loved ones around me, including my children to remind me anytime I get those symptoms.
I did this to help me realize that whenever I feel those symptoms, I may have put something in my system or eaten a meal that is not good for me.
So be aware of your body and how it reacts to different things you eat. You also want to know that these symptoms can come as a result of lack of sleep or lack of rest
#2. Separate yourself for self-care
Take time off for yourself in the practice of self-care. Start by taking an aromatherapy bath. You could add peppermint essential oil or lavender to your bath water for a very relaxing feeling. Besides both are natural anti-inflammatory essentials.
You also want to connect with your inner self by applying the yogi breathing technique so you can take yourself from this pressure this world. This will help you detox on a spiritual level.
Spend 30 minutes till you forget about everything and after that, if you feel sleepy, get some sleep.
Other self-care activities
1. Oil Pulling:
With oil pulling you have to floss, brush your teeth and then put oil in your mouth and let it sit there for 5-20 minutes as long as you can take it.
What the oil will do is to get rid of all the bacteria and germs from your mouth. It will detoxify your sinuses and make you feel good.
If you have a headache, it will also release the pressure from your head. So it’s perfect for doing oil pulling.
2. Scrub your skin:
Our skin is the largest organ of the body, and it’s another channel of detox.
Make your recipe of scrub. It can be sea salt scrub, sugar scrub, or coconut oil.
What scrubbing will do is to open the skin pores and clean out the toxins. It will make you feel light and heal your scar tissue.
Your scar tissue is the layer between your muscle and the skin that can cause you pain.
Scrubbing will also ease inflammation as well help drain your lymphatic system.
You also want to go to a massage therapist if you can.
3. Expose yourself to the sunlight
You have multiple benefits by exposing yourself to the sunlight. The Sun is cell food, and it’s healing. In Africa when you are sick, they let you lay down under the Sun and absorb vitamin D.
You also get a lot of energy from it. It’s a healing for your cell system and your mind too.
4. Practice joy:
Practice joy. Do anything that brings you joy. For me, I go outside to the park and contemplate nature looking at the birds, trees and just relax.
I also spend time looking at the river, the movement of the water in all its beauty. If yours is to engage in a social activity by all means do.
So figure out what brings you joy and keep doing it.
5. Practice intermittent fasting or water and juice fasting
I recommend three days of water fasting and green juicing including smoothies. These are very powerful for your health. I have talked about water and green juice fasting in my previous articles.
